Be faster -.- Since you say its instability when braking you might try lowering your LSD's decel setting.

Hi, I recently puchased a 2007 RX400h. When I am coming to a stop from highway speeds my hybrid brakes will work for a while and then I can feel them quit. I have to then stop with the hydraulic part of the braking system. The battery is not fully charged...

I don't think that the hydraulic are bad at all .
If flush does not fix the issue then brake actuator would be my next guess.
Have you had the dealer flush the brake fluid.
A few people have had their brake actuator replaced.

Anyone know if the streetcars/buses/subways use air brakes? I know that the brakes are regenerative. Sometimes you hear air being released when a vehicle accelerates or slows down.

The ELFs have an air park brake the service ....
All other buses are 4 wheel drums, for the time being .
Regenerative brakes are only on the rear.
Regenerative braking has nothing do do with air brakes.

In the past budget, the Quebec government offered a tax rebate of $1000 to a buyer of a new hybrid car. Ontario now offers a rebate up to $2000, PEI offers to $3000 (PEI also gets equalization payments) and BC to $2000.

For stop start driving though, its a very useful setup IMO .
Runs, the hybrid wont benefit you as any savings that might be made from energy regeneration while slowing down/braking, is lost on the extra weight of the batteries.

I would always rate the Prius over....
The Honda Civic Hybrid just does not seem to have captured the market, I agree place.
I also as private hire cars.
We have quite a lot of Prius taxis over here, but don't think I have seen a Civic Hybrid.
