The process of making hydrogen out of water using electricity (or chemical of the HHO gas(fuel), all the units I've seen are just a hose dumping the HHO into the intake.

Hydrogen gas is so explosive that I'm wondering how they can engineer a hydrogen fuel cell powered car to be safe. Am I misunderstanding that there is actually a tank full of hydrogen in these cars?

A hydrogen generator and took off the fuel tank and plugged the hose into the intake, i did this to prove" it is the way forward for "green" vehicles, Toyota have produced a hydrogen powered vehicle but they are strugling with storage....

Posted 01-18-12 07:57 AM IP I keep seeing posts online for people claiming to have modified their vehicle allowing it to run off of water. They claim that their system somehow removes the hydrogen from water and is actually running off of that. Just wondering...

Cars can run off of "water" in two ways, fuel-cells or a Hydrogen combustion engine.
PART of the fuel burned with Hydrogen generated on-board while the car is running.
