I don't eat bacon all that often, but I like it a great deal. So when I do eat it, I like to have a lot. In my opinion, having just one strip is actually worse than having no bacon at all.
My absolute minimum is 2 strips, and there had better be extenuating...

Although I rarely eat breakfast as such, and then rarely with bacon mignon wrapped with bacon, but one strip usually does that okay.
