The IB program has been introduced in Singapore for some years now. Do you feel that IB program or the GCE A level route prepares students better for the journey towards competitive universities in USA?

Usually only students pursuing the IB diploma take HL, but because my did all the assessments....
In order to meet the HL testing requirement (seniors only), IB students take AP Stats in 10th grade, but different class periods).

Did he/she love it? Hate it? Complete with good results? Drop out of the program? Opt for honors or AP classes?
My DS will begin high school in the fall and we are wrestling with all these questions and more. I speak with other parents who LOVE the IB...

Its the question of whether to take easy classes and do well or take all "harder" classes and possibly do worse? I know college look for vigor, but do they really care for a full schedule of AP/IB classes? Is it worth taking a risk of doing an AP/IB class...
