How many companies are using IQ tests to rate prospective programmers?
How would you weight an IQ test vs. education, experience, etc.?
Are there any legal issues that come into play with this kind of thing?
Is there an industry standard test?

IMO IQ test has nothing to do with programmer proficiency ....
I've also been asked to complete 'personality tests be surprised if some IT company conducts IT tests.
Process if I was asked to complete an IQ test.

Hell, even if you're doing from an "official" IQ test....
Fu ck 145, but I think online IQ tests probably aren't very accurate.
It tests your IQ by seeing if you pay via credit card for an online test.

I was rather shocked to see how many people in another post have had their or their childrens' IQ tested. This post isn't to debate the value of such test, merely to see how many have had a reputable test given to them (or their children).

Are IQ tests are stupid ? Since practice improves the score. More the practice, better the score. Does it not prove theat IQ tests are stupid ?

I am put off by IQ tests? I am scared to do one in the fear of finding out that I have a lower IQ than what I predicted and I will then feel like I will have less potential and I will then compare myself to others negatively (towards myself).

Which indicates you probably have a very low IQ, so i wouldn't take the test if I was you....
If you're really that concerned about what your IQ is, don't take the test! If you get a lower IQ to validate your superiority.

Maybe you should instead look for aptitude tests....
Not measured in an IQ test.
IQ tests only measure certain solutions to mundane problems and managing people.
I recommend asking some person in your educational establishment.
