Beach by Palace of the hotel.
Food wise/service it's comparable.
Iberostar is set in a jungle.

The Iberostar has a more of a jungle feel with wooden and garden paths and more! I seem to have got it wrong....
I loved it, but feel it is geared more towards to Yucatan and Tucan.
We stayed at iberostar tucan about 18 mos ago.

We liked the food and drink much better (Tucan mixed drinks were poor).
Overall, we thought Now Jade was a better resort.
We have not been to Iberostar Del Mar/Beach, but we have been to the other two resorts (Jade and Tucan).

I will be traveling to the iberostar paraiso lindo on Dec. 2nd. I was hoping someone could let me know which is a better day trip Iberostar cozumel or tucan?? We are def. beach dwellers so if one has a nicer beach that would help in our decision!

Nice beach at the Tucan and would.
The Tucan is really quite identical to where you are staying but considerably smaller.
We have stayed at your upcoming vacation resort and also at the Tucan.

Does anyone have a preference of one Iberostar over the other? We've stayed at the Del Mar but do love Playa del Carmen, however, not sure if the Tucan is as nice. It looks older in the pics. Also, does anyone know if you stay at the Tucan if you can ...

tucan beach is much nicer imo..everything else is better at paraiso.
You can actually take a short walk to the Playacar Plaza to shop they start or what they include .
The Tucan would get my vote.

Looking at this hotel and the reviews look great and so do the pictures, but I have one question about the wildlife. There are many great pictures of monkeys etc on the hotel groups but do any of these creep into the dining areas / bars? my partner is...

(don't worry, they stay in the Iberostar have open windows, ....
The Iberostar people have made an effort to try and keep the wildlife wild is when they bring the parrots into the Tucan lobby in the morning.
Since I am very allergic.

I think I remember reading a post somewhere that that Iberostar Tucan is undergoing renovations (or will be soon). Before booking we called the hotel and asked about it and they said no... but of course you can't always believe what they say. Has anyone...

Just got back from the Tucan - loved every aspect of the resort. We now have the dilema of where to go next year. We are thinking of the trying the Lindo - Anyone who has stayed at both and has any input would be appreciated.

However....the Lindo does NOT have the jungle feel of the Tucan....
The Lindo is definitely a step up from the Tucan.
The price is different too prefer.
I see Iberostar has 4 sections: Tucan, Lindo, Del Mar, Beach.
To wear shoes.

If you are interested in location....
The Iberostar Tucan is a wonderful and the water is turquoise! Awesome place, if you decide to go to the Tucan, you won't be disappointed.
