My buddy recently purchased a pair of Holley 80576S 750cfm blower carbs for a BBC 496 and they run really, really rich at idle. (no drips/idle set/no leaks/4.5pv) I took the bowls off to see what jets he had in there and took a closer look at the metering...

That is the top of idle....
The idle feed can be restricted at either orifice so the smaller of the two would be your actual IFR.

1991 Kawasaki Zephyr 750 Idling Bike manual has been shipped for now though. What is my Zephyr supposed to idle at? She likes to jump all over the place. She usually is around 2,000 RPMs. Has Vance and Hines exhaust.

I would bump up your idle ....
After long freeway trips under load in high temps my idle would drop 200 rpm.
If idle is actually fuel temperature.
MY 2 cents.
If it starts doing it more and more often it is likely the TC .
Be unusual.

Just much slack (at least in my mind).
650 to 750 rpm is factory spec.
Anything above 800 RPM is a "high idle".
If I'm not mistaken.

A little question about idle rpm
I am not sure this is where I have to ask, but I would like to know if the engine should show at idle 700/750 rpm ? Is it the standard on Focus 2012 ? I couldn't find anything on the net about it. My last car, Cougar ...

It can adjust itself to idle.
The engine will idle where it wants to.
