Re: idling rough my car is idling rough if im under a half tank it will stall sometimes also and the battery light will flash real quick... and its a new battery and i even try'd charging it at night on a low cycle and still the same problem i also replaced...

Changed spark plugs car idled rough and sputtered. Replaced wires, same thing. Pulled one wire at a time and that test was fine. Checked all lines, nothing that I can see is disconnected. What should I do now??

While driving my 1999 Bird with 34K on it the other day, I felt the car suddenly lose power and it began driving like a dog. At idle, car sputters, The tach has the rpms goin up and down with the needle flickering around...

Sounds like a problem with the crank or cam position sensor, or the ignition control module .

1.1i Rough idling when stopping at traffic lights or whenever the engine idles, it almost dies as its idling too low.

3- check spark plugs
4- check plug wires
5- most anything else will require... .
Remove air intake piping from TB (throttle body), inspect the "butterfly valve" if it's filthy, then remove TB and clean with TB/Carb cleaner, reinstall .

My TB started running rough about a week ago. I switched out the spark plugs and found plugs 4-6 to have oil above the threaded area. However, the change in plugs didnt fix the engine idling rough.

The actual code is P0171 system 2 lean.
Is there oil in the coils/plugs? your head gasket might need to be replaced .
System too lean...
Post the actual code(s) pulled from your ECU and we can narrow it down .
