I think I am getting the hang (so to speak) of my new, temporary ileostomy. With a low residue diet, I am able to keep a good output as well-- not too much liquid, semi-solid. But I noticed that around dawn and into the morning, when my stomach is empty...

I thought I'd be really excited when the time arrived for my iliostomy reversal. Went for the tests today, all set for nxt week. However, the pep talk by the nurse was really depressing. She said the first 4 weeks would be really bad, but in months/years...

Jim just finished his 2nd chemo. He feels good except for being tired. He is just on 5-FU and leucovorin, so maybe the bad stuff won't be a factor. Fingers crossed... Wife to Jim with Stage IV Rectal Cancer
