I'd like to convert a Parallels Virtual Machine image on my mac into an image usable by Virtual PC 2007. Does anyone know how to do that, or if it is possible?

If it's a Windows image, I would mount the VM using with SmartVDK and apply the image ....

Have not tried myself, though.
8.04 machine where it claims support for, among others, the "parallels" and the "vpc" format.
Hi Folks, Anyone know if I can run Parallels Desktop Mac 5 on OS X Snow Leopard Server? I know Parallels make a Mac OS X Server product, but I'm interested in whether their desktop product will install and run fine. Thanks, Alex

You can run Parallels to a Mac mini if you try to do it with the Parallels Desktop and I would not assume it'll be reliable enough for virtualizing servers.....

Now i've tried the image tool, selected the hdd and what did i get? right the format of the hard disk image file you....

My experience with Parallels has been positive, and if you Box is a good virtualization tool, ....
Range of platforms, chances are pretty good that there's a VMware image we've already got lying around Fusion can use a Boot Camp partition .
Something is clearly wrong with my setup but nothing I've tried seems to fix it. Whenever I launch Windows under Parallels, everything slows to a crawl. Windows is barely usable and even the Mac side slows down too. Same results on a 3ghz imac and 2.3...

Without its horrible 2 GB of RAM is in my oppinion to less to really work productive on both in parallel.
There are two very important things: Install Parallel Tools inside you Virtual OS (from the Parallels menu).

VMWare tends to be more polished and have fewer annoyance bugs but, currently, Parallels....
And now I use Parallels again.
Originally I went with Parallels since.
I've used each and currently use Parallels.
Is a useful advantage.
Which one should I go with? I have been using VirtualBox for a while but it has been freezing up my cirsor after Lion install. What should I do? Is there a fix for VirtualBox or am I better of buying VMWare or Parallels? Which one is best in performance...

I understand Parallels can point to a bootcamp partition and load it but can bootcamp point to a Parallels VM on the disc and load it from there?

Boot Camp won't be able to find or mount a Parallels disk image.
