If you could add one law to your country's laws what would it be?
I would make it illegal to smoke cigarettes in public or around children. It's just not fair for the ones who don't enjoy the smell of smoke and the damage it causes. source
Should Pot laws be lifted in the US and UK?
Well more recently medical people here have been commenting on the long term mental effectsand incidents relating to cannibas. As for Amsterdam the Dutch police seems a bit concerned that it is causing pople to move onto to even more harmful stuff. We have some people involved in theft to fee their habt as well. Anyway if they want to go nutty over a time then that is their lookout but encouraging them isn't the State's job. source
Invite In-Laws to House Warming?
If you haven't gotten to the point of banning them yet, I would invite them. Why make things even worse if they find out they weren't invited? source
Is not talking to in laws a cultural thing?
I've been reading a large number of threads wherein a poster has a problem with their in-laws, be it MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL etc. Sometimes it's relatively innocuous and sometimes it's more serious and safety related. In almost every case the poster gets advised to have their partner speak to their in laws on their behalf. Is this an etiquette thing where being a blood member of the family makes you responsible for an outcome? A USA cultural thing where two adults aren't supposed to discuss an important issue if one of them married into the family? Is it because if you're related by blood it should be easier for you to achieve a desired outcome? source
How Often Do You See Your In-Laws?
I don't see my In-Laws very often as they live at the other side of the country and it's not easy for us to get there often. I've only meet them about 3 times in the 10 years we've been together. My parents however live about a 20 minute walk from us and we usually see them at least once a week. source
