If the motor runs it's probably more than sufficient.
It's natural to want more and everything is ultimately limited by your prop .
Then at least save yourself the aggravation and expense of tearing the motor down.

Thanks Definitely bleach in each 40 ....
Since it has been sitting so long, you should take the impeller sitting on the hard for 2 years, I need to make sure the motor runs before splashing.
And there should be enough water for the motor .

You might be able to mount better on a smallish inboard for less than 15-20k if you decide to repower.
In Brunswick on Yachtworld; there's a few on there, both inboard and outboard.

Down at the bilge a 8' beam boat is not 8', it is only about 7' beam down low, or less .
