For personal income tax declarations, normally you should use the rate relative to the transaction date.
French tax Office normally publishes around end of 1st quarter and average rate you can use for smaller amounts. In doubt, call your own Tax Office...

The tax would also increase since it is proportionate to the income. If you made 100k in one year and paid 10k in taxes, if your income increased to 150k you would pay 15k in taxes. Thanks and ChaCha again!

Real answer is both are needed and both can not pay that much VAT and of course a lot of people in the Irish tax system do not pay income taxes rate of VRT, and....
Low earners probably prefer Income tax on high earners.

Is the new UK tax laws going to make income tax and dividend tax the same? I seem to remember if I used my personal allowance and then had the rest in dividends my tax would be significantly decreased (up to £30,000~) because there was no tax on dividends...

Is state income tax applied before or after national tax? In other words, are the state income tax rates applied to gross income or after-national-tax income? The latter would reduce your state taxable income.
