I have following two questions regarding renewal of Indian Passport on expiry of old Passport.
My passport if due to expire in July 2012 and I wish to apply renewal now from Birmingham Only. My questions are ...

Hi,
Any idea how many days does the Indian High Commission in London take to re-issue a new passport (i.e. after expiry of 10 years validity) when the application is made in person?
Appreciate feedback from anyone who's got it done in recent months.

I recently got my Indian Passport renewed at Indian High Commission (IHC my Indian address as my permanent address on the passport.
And immigration advice.

I have a running bank statement only as address proof.I don't have a voter id card or ration card or bsnl landline.I live in a rented house, so the electricity bill comes in the owner's name.
