I love inktense pencils! They should have a very rich colour when water or drawing paper, watercolour type paper is better.

Meechelle, I don't like the blending pencil.
When I first started with my pencils, I bought the Prismacolor blending pencil to blend with just the pencils.

I have some very cheap ones which are more like crayons and came from the Pound Shop. They are ok for ordinary card making, but a little gritty. Rather than jump in and buy Derwent, WH Smith, Aquaelle etc, it would be really helpful to get advice from...

I'm also thinking on it and then rub the pencil into the drop until you get the intensity of colour you want.

Where do people get things scanned.
I can change the dpi to 600 but it does nothing to improve the image .
They never show the detail.
I hate my camera for pictures to post.
The colors are wonderful.
Very nice piece..
9x12 using mostly scalpel and #11 exacto plus a little FB Also used Inktense pencils to color. Not sure if I'm loving them yet. The colors seem dull to me. This hasn't been sprayed so hoping they brighten up after spraying. C & C's welcome.

Try Dr.
I found that they left a film also.
So for this one it works, but the Inktense pencils seem to dry dull the inktense occasionally for some small things like eyes.
Harry I wanted the colors muted.
I wanted to have a place for my art... This. Welcome! Feel free to share your thoughts etc. I tend to use the same idea or issue several times, just because I can see too many versions of it to pick just one. This first theme is about shyness and melancholy...

Trying to use some Inktense crayons I was given as a present. Nice colours but I didn't really get to grips with them. Eked the drawing out with gouache. That's a lovely garden and cousin Wim looks a jovial fellow. Wim-san in his Garden

This might seem like an odd question when it is so easy to get loads of coloured pencil colours but I'm wondering what your absolute favourite colours would be, colours that you could use as a 'limited palette'? I do a lot of sketching as journalism, ...

I use the inktense pencils ....
This is already a beauty.
It's a control thing.
The inktense like you but sometimes just wet the brush and apply to the pencil then to the painting to the pencil and then to the painting.
