Hi,
I have a debian server and want to use the nice screen extension "screen-profiles". I think this comes from Ubuntu.
Is there a way to get it on debian and how?

You can download the package....
If it complains about dependencies, try to install these from a Debian repo, just to be safe.
install it as
dpkg -i screen-profiles.deb

You could also just use the Debian package :-)

I am trying to install Ubuntu Netbook on an iiView A2. I realize this is not necessarily supported according to the Ubuntu documentation, however, one of my friends who has the same netbook was able to accomplish this with no issues.

Before clicking on install goto F4 and choose safe graphics mode then continue to install it worked for me :) Good luck.
Try a text-mode install.

I have a problem with my eclipse. Whenever I go to the Install Software screen and put in a an update site, the screen shows nothing but when I click on the screen where I can select plugins they're there and I can actually go on to install the plugins...

Makes sure you install version.
You can download a new installation from eclipse.org and install recent updates from the Software Sources dialog or something).
With a clean Eclipse install.

I did extensive research of it i looked around $17 ....

Okay, so I wanted a back up camera and I was not ready to get a double din or to have a screen hanging out looking crappy randomly mounted somewhere, so this is what I came up with. Found a 3.5" camera system on ebay for $60.

The screen is mounted in the same regoin as the rear view mirror and I use it to back up usually so its no big deal.
Kudos for a bad ass down the road.
