I installed Ubuntu-install is complete....
So for the most secure server it is best to not install a GUI.
Also with a .local domain.

They are about as easy to install.
Binaries in the past and they seem to be pretty easy to use .

You're running Ubuntu? How about just sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-wsgi ? You have provided insufficient information.
There's a --with-python option or similar.
Try ./configure --help.

The virtual package "ubuntu-desktop" is all you need to install.

There will be some performance hit when running Ubuntu this way, but you might not find, and doesn't support....
