Any way to install Ubuntu onto Intel RAID?
I have the same RAID as Elmopuddy and i'm about to do a complete reinstall of Windows XP on it, but I also want to be able to dual-boot into Kubuntu. I have 2 x 250gb sata drives for my RAID 0 and I also have a 500gb sata drive installed for data and other crap. I'm not that knowledgeable about how bootloaders work and what not but i'm wondering if I would have issues if I were to install Kubuntu onto my 500gb drive and not onto the RAID? Also, could I install the bootloader onto the 500gb drive and avoid any possible RAID issues altogether? I'm about to install Windows now and hopefully I can get an answer before I try to install Kubuntu.

Ubuntu read only file system on install?
We ended up downloading a newer version of Ubuntu and installed without any problems. For whatever reason the version of Fiesty Fawn we had just kept croaking.
