Hi, I'm trying to install zend debugger in my Ubuntu 9.04 machine, I've done it in win. but not in linux, I hope you could help me, this is what I've done :
1)Copied the file ZendDebugger.so to /etc/php5/apache2 (didn't choose this folder for anything...

You can also try to install Zend Server Community Edition You'll get ZendI found much more easy to install Xdebug in my Ubuntu machine.
If there are no other problems.

I would also recommend that you install Zend Framework outside your htdocs directory.
But the simplest way that I've found to work with Zend on Windows is to install Zend Core .

The Zend framework have to read up on the Zend_Lucene docs and then start using the functions the framework provides within your PHP application.
If you don't have root access to your server then the answer is that you don't .

I'm not experienced with the Zend Server product, but I wouldn't just install anything on top of a running production system.
That's no way to think about handling a production server .
