Proc/cpuinfo gives you physical id, core id, and cache size per core what more info do you need?
By the way, I found a good library that provide a lstopo command that gives you exactly the topology of the system!

That it's better to use dual xeon 5504 which has real 2X4 cores instead of single xeon 5620 which have 4 for 4x 320 GB intel ssd it will increase the price by nearly double but you can sell 40-50 vps if port with Adaptec 5405 RAID....
