How to hook-up interior LEDs strips/bars I just ordered the LEDs bars/strips for the interior. What's the best way to install them: When the door opens or with a switch where I can turn them on and off as I please?

Forget LED's for interior lightsThink you need a Canbus led, otherwise you will still get a residiual glow when the doors are shut the standard bulbs....
In the glove box, another in the interior and one modded for the boot light.

I swapped out the stock bulbs with LED bulbs for the interior in my '08 X5. All the bulbs work, but when you start the car the bulbs flicker which can be very annoying and looks like s***. Anyone else swap out the stock interiors for LEDs and have this...

If you use just plain LED you will get the flickering.

Interior LED light (dash) I changed the light behind the dials for the heater and stuff for an LED replacement from ebay and every bulb i tried instantly blew.
Can anyone who has changed their bulbs successfully recommend which bulbs actually work?

I decided to upgrade my interior lights to bright and white LEDS from SK Performance . After the LED upgrade the interior is fully lit up so now when I drop something I don't need a flashlight to find it.
I have LED boards (contains 6 LEDs) installed ...

Interior led mod
I figured since I had the red & black leather interior, I might go with some red surface mount led's under the front dash.
Picked up some pre-wired red surface mount led's for $3.50 each @ oznium and soldered them right to the pins going...

Tap into the -12v supply from the Interior light, this is most easily done from behind the drivers to the negative feed of the LED....
This will go to the positive feed of the LED.
