I was granted a late interview to Columbia, which is such an honor. I have a lower GPA (3.5/3.4), decent DAT (20AA,19TS,22PAT), normal amount of shadowing experience (60 hrs GP, 40 hrs assorted specialties), extensive organic chemistry research...

Since one isn't up, I figured this would be a nice, condensed place to discuss Columbia and our thoughts on Columbia 2016 and decisions.
And likely letters should be coming out soon, but I'm definitely not banking on getting once, much less getting in...

Anyone have a good feel for the Columbia program? I'm having a hard time getting a good handle on it, with a reputation for being stiff and somewhat malignant, with an interview day of people trying to convince me of the opposite (fairly believably.)

In my interview when I was asked if my highschool career reflected me as a person.
Columbia places a lot of emphasis on well roundedness (given that they have the core curriculum) I'm of the sports I played.
