Ascot promptly refunded my investment in full with no questions asked (very professional company....
After opening the bond and during the 14 day cooling off period I found I needed the money for other things.
With this company not so long ago.
Interest rate 7.5% for 10 years 7.75% for 15 years. Interest completely tax free. Minimum Investment : Rs 1 lakh. Anybody invested or planning to invest in these bonds?

Typically you could not buy a bond directly from a municipality....
It's a myth that municipal bonds "lock you in" to a long-term investment buy into a municipal bound mutual fund with $100, though.
