We're getting an electronic fence to keep our dogs in. It's one of those that is a copper wire on the ground and the dogs wear a collar.

This sort of fence would never work for us because if our dogs were to see fence, running off a mains tranformer....
You should get a dvd with the fencing to explain how to train the dogs where the fence is and avoid getting a shock.
