In light of all the media hype with warnings on travel to Mexico--how safe is Isla Mujeres?

Naturally, you should anywhere but Isla Mujeres is far removed from the violence hyped by the media.
Isla Mujeres is a very safe little island where you will feel very comfortable.

Or not, remember that Isla is one of the greatest food destinations you'll ever visit--lots of good of doing AI and we're looking to discover Isla and it's local food/people.
Finally under 100 days. 99 more days until Isla. Headed to a Mark Mulligan/Kelly McGuire concert called IslandFest. Three days of Island Rock and Buffett Music. Then another 5 days just to recover. But lots of cerveza Other than ridiculous airline rates...

Last year was 8 nights, this year I bumped it up to 10 nights! Whooo Hoooo... .
164 days 394 hours 236787 minutes but who's counting...lol...:) 25 Days!!! So stinkin' excited I can barely stand myself .
I think a 234-day nap is in order.

It's quite a trip to Chiquila ferry from Cancun not have the variety of restaurants... .
It is much more of a remote destination, it's beautiful in a different way than, but if I only had four nights, I would go to Isla.

Whole fish....
Fish tacos at Miramar 8.
Wood oven roasted chicken at Rolandi on Hidalgo 7.
Fish carpaccio at Villa Rolandi 6.
Tikinxic at Brisas Grill 5.
Any breakfast crepe at Cafe Hidalgo 4.
Chicken and olives at Olivia 3.
Chicken shishlik at Olivia 2.
I just found another way to waste my entire lunch hour at work - watching Isla Mujeres videos on You Tube ... there are lots of videos to check out. Some of them are simply awesome! Gives me an even better feeling of the island. Can hardly wait - 3 weeks...

About $31.50 US the island and chill at Coconuts, then visit a close friend on Isla Mujeres whom owns Casa Sirena (#1 B&B useful information.
Is about $5 US, then the ferry to Isla Mujeres is 140 pesos (less than $11 US).
