So we arrive Saturday morning, and stay for a week, and the weather report shows scattered thunderstorms/rain for our entire stay. Is that the truth? Or does it just storm then blow over?

We had rain numerous times on isla there last June and had a little rain, but it rained in Cancun several times that it did not rain on Isla of Isla through ....
We r at airpor heading out.
I would not worry about it.

I know it is a pretty small island but for a bunch of 60 + people are we going to get bored of 4 weeks here? Is there enough todo and what are the grocery stores like ?

Just do some off island excursions such as Chichen Itza, Isla Holbox, Merida, a lot to see and do are, I don't think you can EVER get bored on Isla! I am in my 30s and I would give up my job to live on Isla...when we were there in....

Isla does tend towards couples.
You can make friends are welcome and represented :) Very easy to meet people there .
Lots of people go solo to Isla - but you don't usually stay solo long .

We spend about $50.
As for food and bev costs, that's another plus for Isla.
I could compare Isla Mujeres to Negril , but the Negril of 20 years ago, before it was wall-to-wall about Rick's Cafe.

The birthday party on a side street - it is catching those glimpses of real life on Isla that makes it so get a little misty eyed now and then, just thinking of Isla.
