I have just realised how big Istanbul is (About the same as London), which makes my question on a good restaurant a bit over the top.
We will be staying in the Point Hotel Barbaros, so maybe one not too far from there.
Or is there a restaurant district...

Have a great time in Istanbul! If you wanna stay in a trendy part of the city with good nightlife then it´s Taksim you should stay at.
Plenty of bars, restaurants, clubs, shops.
