Edit Answer (for another -37 minute) Stuttering is more likely to be caused by engine misfires than by an automatic transmission; particularly when it smooths out under heavier loads .

I have a stock 1997 isuzu rodeo, i want to add a small lift for now. Doing a Torsion bar lift in the front will add how much lift? If i put two inches on the back leaf springs, will i have enough in the front to level it out? Is all i need for this lift...

It jerks when I accelerate until it warms up. Now it started losing power while driving till it dies with a strong exhaust smell. Now it won't stay cranked.
I replaced all sensors, EGR valve, spark plugs last September and the fuel pump filter and lines...

The engine is locked up but everything else works great
EXT is black cloth interior
16" alloy wheels with stock size tires 3/4 tread on front half tread on back

My newest brochure collection, 1981 Isuzu Faster Rodeo. At that time Rodeo is subtitle for 4WD version.
This one is equipped with C190 diesel engine, the smallest diesel for this type.
