Is 'lucertole' an accurate translation for 'lizard'? Or is there a better word in Italian for a small lizard? you often see on ancient ruins in Mediterranean countries. Asking native Italians specifically, thanks.

I would like to use Date.parse, but it doesn't work with Italian month names!
Date.parse "26 agosto 1991" => Sun, 26 Jul 2009
Is there any alternative?

That....
MyString.gsub the mapping, doing gsub.
MyString.gsub("agosto", "august") ...
After all, you only have to replace 12 possible values italian month names myString.gsub("...", "januar") ...
translation and call Date.parse after that.

That would allow you to put all the relevant properties (button names, tooltips, etc.) into something akin to massiveProjectFrench.properties ... .
