I have been working on my garden with lots of help from David E. I would really like to migrate my garden into a more traditional type Japanese stroll garden. I can of course buy lots of books, but I wondered if anyone here has any expertise in designing...

Zen theme this week...
I chose the Japanese Garden and played with my watercolor brush pens again.
w/c brush pens on 4 X 6 w/c paper. about 2 hours.
This one is from KreativeK's WDE on March 10. I love this reference and have been working on it in Wednesday...

Anderson Gardens in Rockford, IL has continuously been voted one of the top Japanese Gardens for several years. Had the opportunity to shoot there this past weekend. Lighting conditions were horrible, but made the best I could

Japanese Garden, 8 by 10 inches, oil pastel, on gessoed masonite.
This first image was photographed at about the three hour mark.
My finished image wound up taking about another three hours for a total of at least 6 hours. I'm afraid I've overworked this...
