Japanese Garden, 8 by 10 inches, oil pastel, on gessoed masonite. This first image was photographed at about the three hour mark. My finished image wound up taking about another three hours for a total of at least 6 hours. I'm afraid I've overworked this...

Hey Hal another fine version of this popular japanese garden Definitely not one for the trash bin, Hal of an oriental garden Don't trash the first - with pastels you can always correct what you don't like.
Been looking forward to the other seasons as my portfolio is so full of Fall shots from the gardens. Working on 4 seasons shots of some of my favorite perspectives. Enjoy your spring.... Roman
