What conferences/training should an employer provide for a java/web team? I'm a software developer at a large insurance company in Canada. Our dept. is looking at getting some training for us all. We are mostly a java group (JSF/JSP/Servlets) but obviously we use a lot of other web technologies (tiles, ajax, YUI ...etc). The... Sun training for Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) - classroom or web-based? Does anybody has any experience with Sun training? The SCJP class is incredibly easy, it is basically a test of your knowledge of the Java syntax and APIs. I've never taken any of the Sun training classes, but unless your company is willing to pay.
