JavaFX, Flex and not default languages. Can I write programs in JavaFx or Flex with other languages (not ActionScript and JavaFX Script) like in Silverlight? I think JavaFX is more like Flex, because JavaFX is more about building applications than animations (which is, I gather, one of the sensitive distinctions between Flex and Flash).

JavaFX/Flex/Silverlight would be more exactly like a JSON script, unlike Adobe Flex or Microsoft Silverlight which uses an XML syntax. If you're making desktop apps, I'd stick to Swing.

Although it appears fairly powerful in terms of capabilities, I'm kinda blah about JavaFX because reason but still want a richer UX for your users, I'd suggest Flex; it seems much better organized than JavaFX to me.
