Unless you previously whacked yourself in the face you probably just slept with your mouth open, turned or flipped in your sleep and slept on it the wrong way. .
You may be grinding your teeth in your sleep.

Drainage dwn throat can irritate the eustachian tube openings.
They run over to middle ear that controls 'the pop'. Nerve
swelling in the area you mentioned can cause off/on symptoms.
If it's ears & not unilateral, probably drainage in throat.

i was told that it has a lot to do with a lifestyle. i do absolutely no physical activity. so every time i stretch my joints crack.
