Apologies for the redundant advice in that case. Don't think H&F carry the Veritas jig; try Carbatec. In your shoes I'd also be researching whether after-market TCT or HSS blades were available. Maybe make a trip down to the local saw doctor? In any case...

I have a Carbatec CTJ-350 Jointer that I'm thinking of upgrading with a Shelix head. I think it is the Grizzly G0490, can anyone confirm this? It sure looks like it. G0490 8" Jointer with Parallelogram Beds The head itself is US $385 plus postage. H88...

The new Shelix head spindle is a little bit shorter ... .
There is one difference but not critical.
Still the correct head for your jointer.
It is now working and cuts ok with some snipes .

Probably has a flat belt pulley that would have to be adapted also.

I bought it second hand in 1979 it as it is my only jointer....
And an adjustable pulley system that runs to either a saw blade(with a router/doweller?) or to the 3 Attached Images I have an 8" saw / 4" jointer version of the Ezycut.
