@ joomla! Gurus, ....
The 1.5.17 to 1.5.23 is an upgrade, not a migration .
Note: Moved from SEO to upgrade forum.
Simples! Mod.
For your upgrade route (1.5.17 to 1.5.23)
Then extract the contents of the package into your Joomla root.

If you do not have an index.php file to upload your own index.html... .
However, if your, go to \joomla\templates\template_name and edit index.php there.
In the root folder of your installation, you have an incomplete copy of Joomla.

First, install joomla where it is accessible via our web server
take a dump of the mysql database and put it into some directory also inside the root folder where joomla was installed....
Can use the same approach with joomla too.

Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at stackoverflow):
You this command:
pecl install memcache
Again, you will most likely need root access to your server to do in Joomla and choose Memory Cache....
You will need to install memcached on your server and will probably need root access to do so.
