Hi,
does anyone know how to run 2 joomla sites off 1 database but only having 1 of the joomla sites read the contents items only and no more?

What version of joomla are you running? Sorry to hear this, However, more details are required about the hacked sites for u to get any tangible help! 1.) If you're using 1.5, upgrade to 1.7.

Got the DB, crawled under the truck and got everything unhooked accept the top 3rd bolt. I can get a socket on it, but I used all kinds of extensions, a wobbly, everything in my toolbox and still couldnt get on it good enough to crack it loose, what is...

I didn't use anything special either.
Deep socket with a 6" extension and a 1/2 drive ratchet is all I use .
Maybe jack the truck up to give you more clearance from the ground .
Long handle with a flex head.
