I'm a little confused, I realize hosting co. are there to make money, but why is it that RAM is so cheap these days and the monthly cost for just adding more ram is so much?
why doesn't someone come out and just break even on RAM and destroy the market...

The reason that nobody just breaks even on "accessories" is that they'd have to charge....

At our company we charge by the hour, which is actually broken down into 6 min chunks. At the end of the day you end up recording 8 HRS, 8.1 HRS (i.e., 8 HRS 6 min), etc. to a task, where the task is allocated a certain number of HRS.

I'm on this dang old website trying to meet women and they require you to spend "credits" just to send a freaking email. You can get 250 credits for $20 so that's 8 cents a credit, but it costs 35 credits just to send one damn email. That's almost 3 bucks...

If you had (or have attended) a baby shower in a restaurant, did you charge guests for their plates?
I don't like the idea of charging people when they're already spending money on a gift, but I also don't expect the hosts (friends and/or family) to pay...

There is no way you can charge people to come to a shower, and if someone is hosting it, why are you even involved in getting the venue? You absolutely should NOT charge people for thier plates.
