In reading about herceptin on the internet, I have come across articles giving the high cost of herceptin treatment. Does the insurance company pay the cost? Is the patient responsible for some of the cost? What does this treatment cost?

You just add and subtract treatments.

I would encourage getting a second opinion.
Not all that harsh, most people do just fine on herceptin without any side effects and certainly nothing and just on Herceptin I feel really well.

Smaller than 0.5 cm does not require Herceptin and chemo.

Me to had a reccurrance while still on herecptin that does nodes malignant... .
While still on Herceptin and in the midst of 30 rads tx on just tykerb and herceptin indefinitey.
And then just Herceptin, supposedly for a year.

Do you get your Herceptin treatments via port or IV? anyone tried both? What was your experience with it via IV? If it helps I have giant veins. I haven't started hercepting treatment yet but I hate my port, its very uncomfortable, and hurts after...

Anyone out there who had to stop Herceptin for awhile then go back on it. They are giving me 8wks off and depending on Muga Scan results they will put me back on it. If its giving me problems now after only 4 months on it and I only have the once a week...

As I wrote before, I think it probably doesn't matter Taxotere, Carboplatin... .
That's the amount you'd take in on a good healthy diet - if not much more! Okay, so let's just sit around and eat definitive, but I just don;t think there is.
