I cannot start Firefox on my Mac. It just says "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." I have tried restarting the computer. Any fixes?

What do you mean by the statement, "I tried restarting"?
Did you reboot the Firefox process is still running....
If firefox sees an active instance of itself when it starts, it skips creating another instance of itself with this error.

I also tried to get help from Mozilla and also got no response.
The reason for that is firefox uses more CPU's than you would think.
It got to the point that I just quit using Firefox at all.
And some smaller browsers.

If it goes haywire, just....
Open task manager and see how Firefox is using processor time and memory while idle.
Also, if you're recovering tabs when you restore Firefox, some of those could be the cause as well.
Your browser to crash.

When I try to print a web page in either IE or Firefox - it just crashes? Any ideas?
Printer works with other applications fine - like Word etc. It's only browser related for some strange reason.

I tried it and also got it will ask security warning messsage just click yes with ctrl button you will get the result.
It certainly works for me in firefox.

Firefox on Vista has been grinding to a crawl and I just checked the RAM usage on this machine and found 400MB of RAM in use by Firefox.
Is this because of plugins/addons?

Have you tried running Firefox in "safe" mode with no plugins and addons enabled?
Check the memory then and see if it makes, the AFOM addon:
recovers Memory....
Or the amount of Flash or JavaScript that is running on a page you have open .

Is there any good download manager available for firefox in Ubuntu 9.10?
Because the default downloading in firefox is quite slow.Hence the question.
You may recommend an addon for firefox or a separate software is greatly appreciated.

As long as you useThe best way to do this is install Firefox 3.0 on your computer, then download Portable Firefox to run version 3.5.
And 3.0.)
