I know all 3 are related, and I've seen quite a few answers for problems in Project Euler written in J, and a few written K. What I'm wondering is, which would you suggest learning, and where would you suggest going about getting the materials to learn...

So should the official.
The current J interpreter is not open source, but the language spec is.
K appears to be dead with J.
J interpreter no longer be free, an open source project could implement it.

I came across J/K/APL a few months ago while working my way through some project euler problems, and was intrigued, to say the least. For every elegant-looking 20 line python solution I produced, there'd be a gobsmacking 20 character J solution that ran...

The point of APL (and J and K) is to summarize big algorithms into tidy notationI think your 3 points show that you don't NEED to learn J.
For complex concepts.

foreach (int i in list) { string+= i + "^" }
(p.s. yes, that...

Unless this turns out to be a bottleneck....
Use string.Join :
string.Join("^", list.Select(x => x.ToString()).ToArray())
In this particular case it may be more efficient to use StringBuilder directly as Append(int) may avoid creating the temporary strings .

Which do you like better? K-pop(Korean Pop/Music) or J-pop(Japanese Pop/Music)?
I like K-pop better because they sound really cool and clear.

Just noticed this yesterday - when I'm typing a comment for a photo, my J or K keys don't work. Well, they work as Hotkeys, going back or whatever their shortcut is, but I can't type anything out. Oddly enough, they work here though.

Both "j" and "k" are screwed.
Firefox 10, Windows Vista with Safari on my MacBook Pro, this is not just a Firefox issue .
Keyboard shortcuts are disabled.
