I have just bought a new laptop and realised that there are no LEDs indicating the sate of Caps Lock, Num Lock etc.
Is there anything that will display the current state of the keyboard LEDs on the top bar of Unity?

Keyboard currently has red LEDs and I'd like to swap em with clear ones that illuminate blue.
Has anyone done this? What spec LEDs should I be looking for?
Forward voltage in blue LEDs is typical higher than red so it shouldn't matter much really right...

Look like all the Digikey blue LEDs are 3.2v or greater.
keyboard will be ok, LEDs will just be dimmer when lit, right? It depends on the LED, in most cases.

I recently upgraded from KDE 3.5 to KDE 4, and I have been having weird issues with my keyboard. In one of the virtual consoles e.g. when I press ctrl + alt 1 , I can type perfectly, but in KDE, several of the number keys don't work, the left and right...

Beyond that, try a new keyboard (/etc, /usr/share/kde*) or user (~).
Virtual consoles (tty) are completely unrelated to X11 and use a different keyboard mapping to resolve a few issues, not this specifically, but in other K apps.

I bought a K90 a week ago and the "Q" & "F" Leds went out. I exchanged it today and "BACKSPACE" is out. Wtf kind of keyboard is this? Am i doing something wrong?

Yesterday I did a switch swap on the....
The keyboard has N/Wide.
Thanks Hoggy - little wear on the space bar but lots on the return key and the numpad .
But the keyboard in general is very good.
Switches, like the backspace....very stiff.
