Would that look dumb? I've got some khaki cargo style shorts and miniskirt that I'm thinking I want to wear with all black during the colder season, but I don't want to be thought of as completely fashion clueless. Any input from you guys on that look...

Khaki & black are a classic color combo.
Just my 2 cents I agree.
Khaki goes with almost any color, particularly black or brown.

I just went through our box of clothes. Sofi has 2 pairs of shorts for this summer. So, I'm looking to buy her some more She needs 5t, and preferably with adjustable waist. I like them a bit longer, almost like bermuda shorts.

khaki and blue is what the USAF uses for their version it with jeans or shorts is perfectly acceptable, since it is not a uniform when worn this way.
But the line should be drawn at shorts.
