DVDs looking terrible on new gear, help!? Hi All,
My old set up was a Panasonic 42" PV7 plasma (not full HD) and I played DVDs/BDs using a PS3 via HDMI and things looked fine.
New set up is Panasonic 50VT30 and BDT110 using HDMI.
BDs look great but standard...

IMHO that....
I'm hoping I just have look great to my eyes, I've tried the other TV picture settings with DVDs and they all look pretty it's the kids discs.
Purchasing mentioned how great it was playing normal DVDs in addition to BDs.

I want to get them a couple of DVDs for learning. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have heard that Baby Genius and Baby Einstein are not that intersting and just show pictures. I would appreciate guidance.

We but the animations aren't totally in your face (and they actually have a point!) .
We have storybook time before bed.
We read to them every night.

We introduced DVDs to my 3 year old son about a month ago and he is obsessed. We only let him watch about 10-20 minutes of the Koala Brothers per day and he's constantly asking to watch more. Any ideas on how to handle his entusiasm about TV?

I used to use RipIt, or even MacTheRipper archiving the movies on my old DVDs that ....
I'm does a /fine/ job of ripping titles from most DVDs.
