What is the best / easiest way to kill a bunch of garden snakes nested in your yard. Small yard. My dog lives in it.

Garden or garter snakes are harmless so why kill them? By "Garden Snakes", do you mean garter away but I figure he'll back back around the chicken house.

We are thinking about getting some guinea fowl because of a recent rattle snake problem. Does anyone know if they scar off or kill rattle snakes? Also, I have heard that they are very territoria. I want to make sure they won't scar off the wild birds ...

Or at least I have never seen them.

I've killed two already this year, and my wife's son in law just killed another.
I've been living there for seven years, and not counting this year, I've only killed two snakes, the whole time we've been there. Both of those were Cottonmouths.

Look at it this way-- if you get rid of the chicken snakes, that leaves more resources for other kinds of snakes to move in on your territory.
I will let a king snake live, if he doesn't startle me too bad...
