And it seems to be a bit of a pain to redistribute the entire JRE as part of the BOINC application (both technically and legally).
And it's Windows-only.

I noticed eon was up and running again using the BOINC client and i have started running it.
I don't know why i like this project, but i do. maybe because it is hosted by the University of Texas and i live in Texas.

It may even be beneficial to uninstall the old version and delete the BOINC program data version of BOINC lower than....
If you're going to downgrade to a version 6 of BOINC stop cache.
It'll still crunch and report.

Has anyone killed a recent Intel processor or even a recent AMD processor from very high temps/ voltages or insane overclocks? There are so many people saying that having a 32nm or a 45nm processor at 75 or even 80+C running 24/7 will kill the processor...

I dont think you can kill will kill a processor over time but i have my oc q6600 3.6gig running 24/7 for over 3 years now its hasnt is that computers that weren't set....
In one of my older retro systems without an issue over 10 years later .

)....anyways as boinc is in part an ibm project i am surprised that it took them that long to get this far run boinc in background of their servers/dbs.
