New to HAL and just curious... we booked online and have a guaranteed cabin in the "NN" category. When do we find out our actual cabin number- not until we get on board, or before...

I just want to clear up the most popular cabin booking myth. It is NOT true that if an able bodied person books an accessible cabin early on, that they will be moved if a disabled person needs it. I know this for a fact because on more tan one occasion...

If the HC cabin is not taken as the sailing date approaches, they will just give....
They ask you when you book and hope for an honest answer .
My understanding is that they do not require some "proof" you are disabled when you book a HC cabin.

Just curious if you have ever been on a cruise where your cabin selection location -or- cabin neighbors has ever caused a damper or bummed out your room experience on your cruise.
Our first cruise, we did a great job of selecting a mid-ship balcony location...

My kids would not have had their play-time in a public hallway at 11pm at night while we as the parent had quiet time in our cabin with the door open to sneek a cabin directly under the pool....
Time in our cabin before going to bed.

Hi Guys,
I figured some of you would get a kick out of this. Anyhow let me explain. This "Workshop" which is actually a re-modelled garage, was intentionally done to store stuff from when I closed down the pc shop I used to run. A year or so later I used...

We'll be on the Wind Star ship... the only cabins they have available are 140 (front left) or 108 (back left).
140 is the front most cabin, 108 is 4 cabins from the back...
Which one is better?
Thanks!

I have a guarenteed VH cabin on the Eurodam, 12/3/11.
This is my first time cruising.
Is it normal to wait this long for a cabin assignment and when should I expect to get my assignment ?
Thanks

They got it from the porters handling....
And there have been a couple of people who didn't get their cabin assignments until they got to the pier.
Some people get their cabin.
Yes -- it is normal to wait this long for a cabin assignment.

And I wouldn't recommend Deck 5 either - go to 6 or 8 if you can .

Trying to chose an aft cabin on the Valor. We have had an aft facing cabin but this would just be an aft cabin on the port side, Empress deck. Are any of them any bigger, better location, should be avoided, etc?
Thank you
