The following is a summary of my two week trip to Japan. I flew into Narita Airport outside of Tokyo, and then spent 6 days in Tokyo, 4 days in Kyoto, a day each in Nagoya, Osaka and Hiroshima.

The 1660 yen is the "seat fee" only to which you need to add the fare (1280 yen). .
Narita Express from Tokyo to NRT is more like 3000 yen .

Your plan is technically do-able, but makes little sense. Skip the Osaka stop and just stay overnight in Kyoto .

What opening hours does that shop have and where in Osaka is it located? Perhaps you could first go to Nara and then travel on to Osaka when temples close around 5pm.
IMO Nara (and surroundings) deserves 2 days, so in any case you will have to make a ...

Has anyone been to the new costco in Kyoto? Any different from the Amagasaki one? I live in Osaka, so go to the Amagasaki one, but is it worth the trip to Kyoto?
