Yea the V6 and LT1's are pretty much identical..go on SHBox's site.
Plan is to pull out verts 3.8 and drop in SS's LT1
Change verts and play at least I hope.
Getting started on my project.

Ok so my plan is to swap an lt1 in to my 1990 firebird swaping the lt1 to a carb intake and trowing my tb on it with a tbi to carb plate. But I have a few questions I want to get cleared up befor I go on with this like is there a distributor relocator...

I have a 94 z28. It is completely stock. My only mods are exhaust and intake.
I am looking to install a cam and valve springs and also nitrous.
I am new to nitrous and lt1 builds, and would greatly appreciate some positive feedback and knowledge!

Torque Arm, Granitelli strut brace, Eibach Drag Launch Springs, Granitelli LCAs and Panhard Bar Their plate or NX maf ends are my choices....
Its what I have and plan on spraying 150 in my bolt Adj .
Nitrous Outlet 93-97 specific LT1 plate kit.

On the heads i used comp beehive springs and retainers along with Jegs 1:6 ratio roller thick head gaskets:
I also found on an lt1 forum somebody using a relay nice alternator relocation technique: Pretty cool.
Series bearings.

I did the swap on my camaro from the 3.8 to the lt1 it took me almost 3000 and a year to get into it but I also put in my own ttops....
Springs are the only thing that are different suspension wise.
Usually find 10 bolts for $200 with brakes.

Iron LT1 heads flowed better than the aluminums anyway, and the port in the LT1 was copied....
The long answer is yes that only flow slightly better than TPI heads .
Years back, the LT1 isn't the new hot setup anymore for some reason.

It will get a sport spring setup (lowered) and bilstein of them in the scrapyards.
Really like the engine/trans combo, better mpg than the prv and about double the hp .
Right now it is very cushy, both springs and shocks are worn.

Im in process of building a 383 stroker LT1 .060. I bought the short block but only kept the crank. I am changing over to a 4 bolt with the eagle splayed caps. Waiting on the block to get line bored now
