Ok this is it! Woke up around 2:15 with most painful contraction ever felt! Seriously! Contractions were about 5 minutes apart. Called Mom and hour and half later went to hospital. Will tell whole story later. Pray! FYI got my epi around 7am and was 4...

I found that I had braxton hicks whenever I used the accupressure points .
Fresh pinneapple worked for me (along with bouncing on an exercise ball :), and rubbing accupressure points (you can look them up online) .

Make sure you keep an eye on her, mostly the contractions .
If she is in labour it's best to sit her in a quiet room on some towels .

I use homeopaths for other things.

When you say "my labor was 12 hours" when is the starting point for you?
I know when my water broke and I'd use that, except I didn't feel contractions until 7 hours later.

2nd labor - about 3-4 hours of intense labor with....
DD1 was 1 week late.
Was a mess for at least 1 week.
1st labor - 20+ hours with 3 hours of pushing, arrived at hospital and was about 2-3 cm dilated, had epidural.
Like the first.
