I have a Logitech USB Webcam and I am using Labview 8v5. Without additional software packages, can I display continuous video from the Webcam on a Labview vi front Panel ? If this is possible does anyone have examples of vi's showing how to achieve this...

You could use "IMAQ ColorImageToArray (4881)" which converts the image datatype to an two dimensional array, which could be converted to a pixmap using "Flatten Pixmap" as follows:

Otherwise, there is no other way unless you write provided driver .
So, you can't directly use the device with LabVIEW device using Call Library Function Node in LabVIEW.
There are no Driver APIs for this device.

It's a free toolkit from NI that allows USB webcams to act as IMAQThe FRC LV install doesn't contain generic webcam drivers.
Used IMAQ USB to use a webcam.

Hello Claudio,
Try to move the constant with value 250 to inside the loop (Server.vi). Your loop is not been timed with this constant outside the loop.
Check it solves your problem....
