One of the complaints I have read, and keep on reading, is that combat is lacking. Funcom has already said that tier 1 abilites are supposed to be similar so you don't gimp your character as easily as you can in a certain single player sandbox series....

They're perfectly fine and versatile in pvp. You have many selections that could all greatly effect the outcome of a pvp battle. However, this does not have the same outcome in pve. After looking through the talent trees for each class, it's pretty plain...
