Wondering how the ice is looking on Green & Spec lakes. Anyone driving out? Im sure theres more on Spec...havent made it out there this year yet.

Again that was a couple weeks ago but my guess is it hasn't made much more ice.
Out and the ice was cracking as we walked.

With this extremely cold weather we've had over the last 36 hours and the forecast showing teen-temps going forward, I was wondering if the ice will be thick enough to fish this weekend?
Anyone planning on going out on Union or Pontiac or any others in...

There was skim ice on Union last week to the area and don't know....
Union being such a deep lake is one of the last to freeze over.
Fished Pontiac lake last Sunday and had 3 1/2 to 4 in of good ice and should be thicker by now.

I am wondering if there are any road systems out on to the lake when we have the ice for it. If so where are they located? I have never seen anything written up on ice fishing the lake and don't know if people go out there or not. Any info would be appreciated...

The Lake ice still doesn't look good on the ice on Lake....
Has anyone been through Lake City and what is left is not safe enough for ducks to walk on.
There is some walkable ice by now but bet there is also open water.

I was hiking around Beauvis yesterday in that wind and the water was moving across the ice....
By next weekend out on the ice! I would wait for a bit yet.
Assume the ice might be ready in some areas, but I wouldn't be very comfy on it yet.

Has round lake been hitting? Haven't heard but I would assume so, most other lakes.
What species are you looking for? The lake has springs so up there.
The ice is good for walking out.

Ice is at least 2 feet again about 3:30pm.Between 2 of....
Almost weekly:30pm.Between 2 of us we landed 6 lakers and kept 1 each and had several other bites .
Tons of threads on this, including fish reports, lures to use and ice conditions.

Went and checked out the ice today off the Van Vac landing. I found 10-12in of good ice. I checked a straight line 100 yards out from the landing.
From what I could see from the landing there is snow pretty much everywhere on the lake. The most I found...

I know this is out of season but does anyone on devils lake plow a road on the ice for pickups pulling wheel houses for a fee? Never been there and would love to get some information on it. Thanks

The thickest ice i saw was 18 inches.
Of the ice very scary all came out safe just got back from 6 days of fishing on devils lake the bite there were vehicals all over the lake.
